  Day 1) The tour starts at the railway station in Söderbärke. Bicycling   along winding dirt roads through the forest to Tombo Ice Mines. A guided tour take us around in the mine area. The rare old mine is full of ice which not even the warmest summer days are able to melt. We keep bicycle through the deep forest. A short hike take us up on a high hill with good views over The Nature Reserve Malingsbo-Kloten. We spend the night in a guesthouse in the small village Malingsbo. Bicycle distance 35 km 

Day 2) Hiking, Malingsbo - Nytorp 10 km. Night in tent/wind shelter

Day 3) Hiking Nytorp - Nyfors 2 km. Canoe paddling, Nyfors - Kloten - and to the south end of Klotensjön 15 km. Night in tent/teepee

Day 4) Bicycle, the south end of Klotensjön - Baggbron 40 km. Night in guesthouse

Day 5) Breakfast and transfer to the railway station in Skinnskatteberg

 

 

  The guided tour include: Breakfast day 2-5. Lunch day 1-4. Dinner day 1-4. Canoes/kayaks, paddles, life jackets, water proof sacks, sitting pads, bicycles and bicycle bags. Daily luggage transport and transfer to the railway station (day 5). Nights in guesthouses and in wind shelters/tent/teepees. Sheets night 1 and 4. Sleeping bags and sleeping mats night 2 and 3 

Price: 6000 SEK/600 Euro. Children under 15 years 5200 SEK/520 Euro

Dates 2010: 12-16 July, 23-27 Aug, 20-24 Sep, 18-22 Oct. The tour can be combined with beaver and moose safaris. From 4 participants, also possible to book on other dates

Type of bicycling, paddling and hiking: Bicycling along dirt roads through deep forest. The paddling is easy flat water paddling on water without current. Hiking along a marked hiking trail

Landscape description: We pass through the wild and untouched nature in the Nature Reserve Malingsbo/Kloten. The rivers, paths and dirt roads are winding. The pine forest deep and beautiful. Night 1 and 4 are spent in small traditional villages. Night 2 and 3 are spent in the forest

Equipment: Paddling in canoes with kayaks as option. The canoes are founded in the strong hard plastic material polyethylene and are in very good shape. The kayaks are stable sea kayaks with broad waist constructed to manage big waves and strong wind in sea conditions. The bikes are substantial Yosemite Cruisers with broad tires. Personal equipment: Equipment that are not needed during the day will be transported overland to each nights accommodation

Clothes to bicycle, paddle and hike in: Shorts, sport clothes, swimming gears, rain gears with rain. Hat and sunglasses with sunshine

To bring during the days: Paddle and hiking days in personal daypack. On bicycle days in bicycle bags: Rain gears, swimming gears, towel, sun block, camera and warm "summer clothes". Day one all participants will receive a full bottle with drinking water. The bottles will be refilled along trip

Food on the trip: We eat good food prepared by experienced and professional chefs. The chefs are using local products especially from the forest with a traditional Swedish touch. E.g. Moose meat, rainbow trout, herrings, chanterelles and blue berries. We custom made all meals and eat the same food together. Therefore we need to know if there are participants who are not eating all kind of food. The dinners are two course meals. Every morning there is a breakfast buffet to choose from

Accommodation: Night 1) guesthouseNight 2) tent/wind shelter. Night 3) Tent/teepees. Night 4) guesthouse

Evening dress: Jeans and sport clothes are recommended  

Information: At the starting point we provide information about the tour. At each dinner detailed information about the next days program is provided

Toilets: Night 1,2,4 and along the way

Safety: The guide has very good experience and is a certified life guard after passing all tests on the Swedish life guard associations life guard education. A firs aid kit is brought on the tour

WILDERNESS TOUR - 5 DAYS - BUDGET

A guided trip on which the participates bring their own food and sleep in their own tents. The trip include:  Canoes/kayaks, paddles, life jackets, sitting pads, bicycles and bicycle bags. Luggage transport. Price: 3600 SEK/360 Euro per person. Children under 15 years 2800 SEK/280 Euro. From 4 participants, to be booked on dates of free choice

 The trip can also be booked as a 1, 2 or 3-day tour. Then you deselect one, two or three days in the program. Price: 900 SEK/90 Euro per day. Children under 15 years 700 SEK/70 Euro. From 4 participants, to be booked on dates of free choice
