Day
1: A
3 kilometer
forest
hike takes
us to Engelsbergs ironwork. The ironwork has ancestry from the Middle-Age and is
one of UNESCO:s word inherited sites. A guided tour
take us around in the historical site. The dam Kvarnsdammen
has
a winding connection
with the lake Åmänningen.
A canoe
safari takes us along a small river out
on open waters. We follow the Framnäs
peninsula and paddle in to the bay Sågviken.
On the beach in Sågviken a nice bathing
place is located. Here we have a picnic
on th Canoe safari 5 km. In canoes we paddle out on the lake Åmänningens blue water. We get ashore on the island Oljeön
on which the worlds oldest preserved
oil refinery is located. A guided tour
take us around the island and we let to know the thrilling history and funny stories
behind
the site. Next time we get ashore is on the Dunshammar
peninsula. Here
one of the earliest iron producing spots is located. The old evidence
consist of stone ovens from the Iron-Age. Oljeön and the
iron producing spots in Dunshammar are both
included in the Ekomuseum Bergslagen. We paddle further in an archipelago with open water and plenty
of big and small islands. On our way home we get ashore on the island Kalvön. At a nice rest area we enjoy our box lunch. We get
time for swimming, water games and relaxation. The word inherited village has
an unique and excited architecture. The architecture of the two
castle has inspired the architects who built the villas of the turn of
the century. Some villas have a variation of
small towers. One of these villas is the youth hostel Tallbacka

ADVENTURES IN NORBERG Day
1:
Canoe safari 1,5 km. We paddle south along the
west shore on the lake Noren. At the
outlet we follow the winding river Norbergsån
in to the small village Norberg. From here follows a one
kilometers
hike to The New Lapphyttan.
Lapphyttan is Europes oldest evidences on ironwork
producing. New Lapphyttan is a reconstruction of the ironwork from the Middle-Age (from 1100-century). A guided tour
let you imagine the heat from
melted iron ore, the sound of the
hammer and the hissing sound from the bellows. After a picnic on the green
grass we retire to Gruvbyn
and the iron mountain. We follow the
same way as

Day 2:
Gruvbyn lies at the feet of the 1300-century well-known Mons Ferri
(Järnberget).
A guided hike
takes us through the old mine
field and up on the mountain. In
Klackbergs
mine field we
let to know the ghost story about the mine lady and other
thrilling legends. The
3
km long hike
is finished at the small lake Kalven. Kalven
is connected with the lake Noren
through a small winding river. A
3 km canoe safari takes us back to our base in Gruvbyn. On our way we do a rest stop on a beautiful setted dock. Here
we enjoy our picnic lunch and stunning views Bath: The lake Norens bathing place is located next to or base Gruvbyn. Here we finish our canoe safaris with swimming, water games and relaxation Number of participants: 10-55 persons

ADVENTURE IN THE NATURE RESERVE MALINGSBO/KLOTEN
Accommodation in teepees in the wilderness Day 1: Gathering in the village Nyfors. A few kilometers beautiful paddling take us to a wind and rain shelter right at the beach. Here we have a rest and our box lunch. Our paddling continue and a few hours later we reach our camp site. A tipi with good views over the lake Day 2: Short paddling to the village Kloten. Hiking back to Nyfors (10 km). Half way we stop and have our pick nick lunch Number of participants: 10-40 persons
